MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the college may be summarized as to discover, disseminate and apply the knowledge of science and technology for human well-being and the development of society. The primary purpose of the college is to provide quality instructional teaching for students in science & mathematics, humanities, business study and technology. The college curriculum strikes a balance between pursuit of knowledge needed in the workplace and society in general.
Consequently, the academic programs emphasize a high quality, comprehensive, discipline-based education with intense application of existing and emerging technologies.
PHILOSOPHY
The college has its philosophy: To provide the advancement of knowledge and produce O’ level graduate with well-balance education.The philosophy is guided by the following factors:
- The need to create an environment conducive to teaching, learning, practical and good character building.
- The increasing need o pay attention to the provision of all-round education and training for students.
- The need to nurture the spirits of entrepreneurship in students.
The emerging economics are now technology-driven. Hence, the science-based programmes must enjoy very high priority in the order of thing but most importantly, there is an urgent need to exposed staff as well as students, irrespective of their disciplines, to the tools of information and communication technology (ICT) through exposure to computer usage, access to the internet and the information superhighway.In keeping with the foregoing, Mother’s Joy Model College (MJMC) admits only the best of the available qualified candidates. To this end, the college conducts its own admission examination for prospective students.Nonetheless, admission is open to all, irrespective of gender, tribe, race or religion.
